It was only a matter of time before Beyoncé and Levi’s, the iconic denim brand, teamed up for a campaign, especially after the release of Cowboy Carter and the track “Levii’s Jeans” (yes, spelling aside). And now, the wait is over.
In a new ad and photoshoot, Beyoncé channels the legendary 1985 Levi’s “launderette” commercial, giving it her own signature twist. In the shoot, she enters a laundrette (not exactly her usual hangout) wearing a denim cowboy hat, a white cropped tee, and, of course, Levi’s jeans. She proceeds to toss the jeans into a washing machine—after first adding a bucket of glitter, because, well, it’s Beyoncé. The look is effortlessly cool, but it’s the details that make it truly memorable.
Denim Nails: The Ultimate Touch
If you zoom in on one of the campaign’s key shots, you’ll spot something that almost steals the show: Beyoncé’s denim-inspired nails. While denim-on-denim may not be for everyone, the queen of style proves it’s definitely for her, incorporating not just jeans and a denim hat, but also nails that perfectly match the vibe.
Her long, softly pointed nails are painted in a blue shade that mirrors the wash of her jeans. And if you look closer, the nail art is nothing short of genius. Each finger features white accents, most of which are reminiscent of bandana patterns. But the real showstopper is on her ring fingers, where the white detailing mimics the fraying of ripped denim, “revealing” a skin-tone shade underneath. This clever design is echoed in the French-manicure-like contrast at the base of her thumbs, middle fingers, and pinkies.
A Timeless Look with a Modern Twist
Between her neutral smoky eye, platinum blonde hair, and classic outfit, Beyoncé’s look is a stunning blend of retro and modern, elevated even further by her eye-catching nail art. The campaign pays homage to a classic ad, while adding a fresh and unforgettable twist—making it just as iconic as the 1985 Levi’s ad it’s inspired by.
