Miley Cyrus Announces New Album “Something Beautiful”

The album’s artwork, captured by renowned fashion photographer Glen Luchford, showcases Cyrus in a stunning archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture piece.

Miley Cyrus is back with a brand-new album, Something Beautiful, set to drop on May 30th via Columbia Records. This marks her highly anticipated follow-up to 2023’s Endless Summer Vacation and promises a deeply immersive experience—both sonically and visually.

The 13-track album sees Cyrus teaming up with acclaimed producer Shawn Everett, known for his work on Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, she revealed that the visuals play a crucial role in shaping the album’s sound:

I have this heart-first attachment to it. The visual component of [my album] is driving the sound. It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty.

For the album artwork, Cyrus enlisted legendary fashion photographer Glen Luchford, donning a stunning archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture look. She has also cited Pink Floyd’s The Wall as a key inspiration, describing the project as “hypnotizing and glamorous.”

Something Beautiful is now available for pre-order across multiple formats, including CD, vinyl, and deluxe box sets. Get ready to experience Miley at her most raw, cinematic, and visionary yet.
