Will Smith has addressed the rumors linking him to Diddy’s alleged “freak-offs” and other controversial claims surrounding the mogul.
While performing in San Diego on December 12, Will took a moment to respond to the viral memes and rumors circulating about him and Diddy. In a video obtained by TMZ, he made it clear that he has no connection to any of the allegations.
“The world we’re in right now, it’s really hard for y’all to discern what’s real and what’s true,” Will said. “I’ve seen the memes, some of them are funny, but I haven’t addressed any of this publicly. So let me make this very clear: I don’t got nothing to do with Puffy. So stop with those memes. Stop with that nonsense. I haven’t been anywhere near no freak-off. I’m busy enough doing my own thing, so don’t put me in other people’s mess.”
He added: “I haven’t been anywhere near that man or done anything like that. So whenever you hear that, it’s a damn lie. I don’t even like baby oil. I usually don’t respond to dumb stuff, but y’all were doing too much with those memes. That had me mad.”
The rumors about Smith and Diddy began to circulate, with some social media users drawing connections between the two. This comes on the heels of other reports, including an accusation made in 2023 by former bodyguard Gene Deal, who claimed Will and Jada Smith had tried to lure Jennifer Lopez into a threesome. According to Deal, this led to a confrontation between Diddy and Will Smith.
In a 2023 interview, Deal recalled an incident at a birthday party where Diddy allegedly became upset, believing the Smiths were trying to make advances on Lopez. “Puff stood up, and he walked over with his arms crossed, then told me, ‘Yo, I think Will and Jada are trying to scoop up Jennifer. Stay close—I’m about to snuff him.’”
Deal added that he thought Will would likely retaliate and “beat the shit” out of Diddy, though he acknowledged Diddy could hold his own in a fight.
“Honestly, I moved a little bit away from Puff, thinking if it came down to it, Will could probably land a couple punches before it got too crazy,” Deal said, laughing. “It was funny to think he thought Will and Jada were coming on too strong to Jennifer.”
Despite the back-and-forth rumors, Will has firmly dismissed any connection to Diddy’s controversies, shutting down speculation with his straightforward comments at the concert.
