Performing under the name Xav, the 17-year-old artist delivers a dark, ambient R&B vibe, with additional vocals from his younger sister Ella-Grace Trudeau. The track, produced by Duava and engineered by Tekika, includes lyrics like, “We could roll sum, we could light one,” hinting at a moody, late-night energy.
Xav first teased the single last month on Instagram, posting a reel of himself walking at night in a hoodie and vibing in the studio while the beat played in the background. According to Alex Van Dusen of Pathway Music Group (the management company linked on his profile), the song represents a natural evolution of Xavier’s passion:
“Xav began by sharing his passion with his friends, and this eventually developed into a more serious approach. ‘Til The Night’s Done’ is a dark and ambient R&B love song.”
